Meet Martin from the Findustrial Team!

Martin is one of our two founders of Findustrial and hence a so called early bird in the company. Martin is responsible for the Findustrial platform development (together with Thomas Kofler) and IOT connectivity as well as our Funding rounds as acting CFO of the company.

 But now let him tell for himself:

Who are you?

Hi, my Name is Martin and I am the Co-Founder of Findustrial.

I started my journey at the University of Applied Sciences, Steyr where I graduated the bachelor and master degree in Controlling, Accounting and Financial Management. After that I joined the Lenzing Group in the Global Financial Controlling department. The next chapter in my journey was a cornerstone as I got introduced to my founding partner Günter (formerly – General Manager Coating Division, Miba Group) as I joined his team as Management Representative at Teer Coatings Ltd in the UK. That’s where the actual idea of Findustrial started, as we were going through a period of restructuring at TCL and hence started to think about alternative sales models for equipment builder to build up recurring revenue streams. After three great years in the UK the company was successfully sold in a Management Buy-Out to my former Management Team and I came back to Austria. Inspired by all the accomplishments I started my own company – Digital Blocks GmbH – a digital consulting agency focused on digital finance transformation for SMEs. As an external consultant I still had the chance to participate in the equipment as a service project in MIBA and in the middle of 2019 Günter and myself decided that we want to take the chance together and start Findustrial.

What’s the best thing about your job?

The best thing to be an Entrepreneur and a Start-Up Founder is, that you have the chance to make a huge impact on the development of your business as well as your team daily. On top of that the freedom to decide where your business goes in a quick and easy discussion with your business partner is probably the best thing about my job currently.

Why do you think the pay-per-use market will develop in the upcoming months and years and thereby drive the use of the Findustrial platform?

I think we are in the century of servitization which will change the way how businesses will operate significantly. First of all we will start with financing models that will enable businesses to enter the field of “as-a-service” models but once all stakeholders are used to the additional flexibility and risk sharing models, the servitization focus will revolutionize existing business models and branches/sectors in our economy

I am really happy that Günter and myself started Findustrial because we are lucky enough to actively shape the future of all these developments.

What do you say about your team?

My team is great but what really makes me happy is that we are in this together. It feels like everyone has each other’s back and that is what makes me proud.

At this stage I want to use the opportunity to say thank you to Günter and my team for the last 15 months, the amazing moments we already had together, all the successes and failures we were going through and all the ones that are still there to follow.  

What is your greatest strength?

I think my biggest strength is my ability to get respond when things get tight and stressful. That’s where Entrepreneurs are needed that are willing to run the Extra-Mile and I know I can do that if I have to.

What is your favourite quote that you would like to share with us at the end?

“If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will” – Kobe Bryant

It always reminds me how important it is to never loose trust in yourself and your businesses and to love yourself for who you are because this is what makes the difference, in your life and as well in the life of others.
